1. The Promoter
The promoter is: Amelia’s competitions, operated by Amelia Smith.
2. The Competition
2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on Amelia’s Competitions website and/or social media platforms (e.g. TikTok Live, Instagram, etc.).
2.2 The Promoter may offer various formats of competition. Subject to clause 2.3, an entry fee is payable for each entry.
2.3 To enter, all participants (“Entrants”) must correctly answer a skill-based question (the “Competition Question”). Where the Promoter uses a simple or multiple-choice question, a free entry method is also available.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Competitions will run between the Opening Date and Closing Date as listed on the Website or social media announcement. All times are in UK time.
3.2 If necessary, the Promoter reserves the right to amend the Opening or Closing Date. These changes will be updated publicly.
3.3 Entries received after the Closing Date will be disqualified and not refunded.
3.4 If a maximum number of entries is imposed, it will be clearly stated. Once this limit is reached, no more entries will be accepted.
3.5 Entrants may enter multiple times unless otherwise specified. Each free entry must be posted individually. Bulk entries will be counted as one.
3.6 Entrants (including free entrants) must open an account or submit identifiable details as instructed before entering. To enter:
• (a) Answer the Competition Question (if applicable)
• (b) Purchase your entry or submit via the free entry route
• (c) Submit your entry as per the instructions
3.7 Only English-language entries will be accepted.
3.8 The Promoter will confirm paid entries and whether submitted answers are correct.
3.9 The Promoter is not responsible for failed or incomplete entries, or issues related to network or system failures.
3.10 By entering, you agree to these terms and enter a legally binding agreement.
4. Free Postal Entry Method
4.1 To enter for free, post your entry to:
Amelia’s Competitions,Barnsley Road, Brierley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S72 9JT.
Include:
• Competition name
• Your full name
• Address
• Contact number and email
• Answer to the Competition Question (if applicable)
4.2 Each free entry must be sent in a separate envelope. Bulk entries will be counted as one.
4.3 Free entries must be received before the Closing Date to be eligible. Proof of postage is not proof of receipt.
4.4 If your free entry arrives after the draw is full, you will be automatically entered into the next available competition.
4.5 Competitions under £0.84 per ticket may offer multiple entries per postal entry, proportionate to the cost of a second-class stamp.
5. Choosing a Winner
5.1 Winners are selected either:
• Via random draw among valid entries
• By instant win system
• Through an auto-draw tool
5.2 Winner details may be included on a spreadsheet published online. To opt-out, contact ameliascomeptitions@outlook.com at least 48 hours before the draw.
6. Eligibility
6.1 Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over.
6.2 Employees, agents, or affiliates of the Promoter or their families may not enter.
6.3 The Promoter may require proof of age and eligibility. Failure to provide it may result in disqualification.
6.4 No refunds will be issued for disqualified entries or ineligibility discovered post-entry.
6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for fraudulent or unethical behaviour.
7. The Prize
7.1 The Prize is listed clearly on each competition page or announcement.
7.2 If a Prize is unavailable, a suitable alternative of equal or greater value may be provided.
7.3 A cash alternative may be offered where stated.
7.4 Prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable unless stated.
8. Claiming the Prize
8.1 Prizes must be claimed personally. The Promoter will contact the winner directly.
8.2 If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner.
8.3 For cash prizes, the winner must provide bank account details that match their name.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Promoter will not be liable for any damage, loss, or injury caused by entering the competition or accepting the Prize unless due to negligence.
10. Data Protection & Publicity
10.1 Entrant data will be processed in accordance with UK data laws and only used to administer the competition.
10.2 Winners agree to the use of their name, town, and photo in promotional material, unless they opt out in advance.
10.3 The Promoter may be required to provide winner information to authorities such as the Advertising Standards Authority.
11. General
11.1 The Promoter may amend these terms from time to time. The latest version will always apply.
11.2 Competitions may be cancelled or amended if necessary.
11.3 This promotion is not affiliated with TikTok, Meta, or any other third-party platform.
11.4 These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
